Colonel Oleg Yevsev, 43, was buried in the Siberian town of Omsk on the day he was expected to be his 44th birthday.
Russia has not detailed how and when it was killed, except that it said it was part of Vladimir Putin's <x0 military suboperation” in Ukraine.
He is one of 30 servants from the Omsk region who was killed in the war.
