Ukraine's deputy prime minister, Olha Stefanisina, has said in an update that Russian forces are now firing at the hospital, threatening the humanitarian corridor, writes Skynews, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
So far, about 20,000 civilians have managed to leave the city surrounded by private cars.
Marioupolis residents have been blocked in the southern port city by Russian bombings while there is no electricity and water left.
Ukraine's official estimates last week suggested that at least 200 thousand people urgently needed evacuation.
Stephanie said efforts are being made to open a humanitarian corridor again today, but it is still an open issue.
