Russia praises Serbia for rejection of sanctions

Although Serbia has voted in favour of the UN resolution condemning Russian invasion, Belgrade has not joined sanctions that the United States and the European Union have imposed against Moscow.
Lavrov has said sanctions are the United States' attempt to impose their hegemony” in the Balkans, and has added that the West is trying to isolate Russia” in the region that has experienced devastating war in the 1990s.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the invasion of Ukraine on 24 February.
He's ordered <x0 special” to demilitarize Ukraine.
The Kremlin's action has stirred anger and has been condemned in many parts of the world.
