Kirby appeared in the ABC's <x0th>Thiss Week” and addressed the last Russian air strike on a Ukrainian air base located about 21km east of Ukraine's border with Poland, a NATO member.
Kirby said it was Russia's third air strike on military facilities and air fields in western Ukraine in the past two days.
“We have been constantly concerned about the eastern NATO wing and that airspace ... and we continue to seek ways to strengthen the protection of NATO allies, we continue to look for ways to try to protect that airspace,” said Kirby, broadcast Fox News.
