Pristina 11 March, 2022 after raising prices and concerns of customs citizens has analysed the import food oil sector and, as a result, announces to the public about the analysis of import prices.
During 2021 total sunflower oil has been imported, some 177 million gallons [7.7 million L] of oil, until raw sunflower oil has been imported. Food oils in import have depended on prices during 2021 starting 1.11 euros/cent in January 2021 and marking growth at 1.44 euros per cent in December 2021, while taxes paying a litre of oil in import are the reduced VAT 8%.
Until raw oils pay no taxes since they are considered raw materials for production. Until 3.3 million gallons [3.3 million L] of processed sunflower oil and 1.4 million liters of crude sunflower oil were imported to Kosovo in 2022. Food oils in import have depended on prices during the year from 1.22 euros/cent to 1.45 euros/cent.
