Krusha's story: No where I cry and put flowers, now 23 years without my son and husband

She now 23rd lives in the hope that one day she will know the fate of her best loved ones. And even though her age has weighed her down, memories of that day still remain fresh in her mind.

My husband is gone. The boy without turning 16, the 55-year-old man. Serbian village forces have taken us and we're gathering up there with one house. We're kicked out of there and down there, we're coming and we're gathering. There right now, me and my son and the other one, by the hand they stopped us and Serbianly told you... turn around. We are told you go, either drown in the river or go to Albania, and we are sent down. All the village women were gone, I was last, I didn't want to go, I wanted to see what they were doing to the boy... the boy I told him to come down, put down my coat, I didn't know anything, I left it for the boy. The guy told me no, all of these guys are out of mantillas, except I don't, and I put it there. When we came down, I didn't mean to go, I wanted to see what was going on, and my mother-in-law and two other women, we said we were going. The rest I've told you guys go up, look what's going on, then come back and here they went a bit and they're back. I've heard the crack, the crack and there's been no hope that since these”, she said, as long as there is a request for Kosovo institutions.

I pray that I've been found as fast as possible, that I haven't had a sign to go to 23 years with a flower and crying”, she said.

We remember that 23 years ago, specifically on March 25, 26, 27, 1999, 243 people were slaughtered in the village of Krusha, Rahovec, while 893 private and social homes were burned.
