Foreign Affairs Minister Donika Grovalla has proposed in the government's meeting the removal of the visa regime for Ukrainian citizens who are leaving after Russia has launched a full-scale invasion of their country.
Gervala has said Ukrainians see Kosovo as a safe place.
“Taking into account the serious situation Ukraine's citizens are facing, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposes suspending the visa regime for Ukrainian citizens. We base this on humanitarian demands in order to enable facilities for Ukrainians that see Kosovo as a safe place. Exception by the visa regime would enable their entry into Kosovo or in transit to other countries”, Minister Gervala has declared.
The Kosovo government has expressed itself ready to expect 5,000 refugees from Ukraine who are leaving because of the Russian invasion. / PERISCOP
