During reporting to the Commission for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, the top diplomat said that during this week they will make a decision to accept 5,000 Ukrainian refugees.
Before MPs, she also talked about the security situation in Kosovo.
We have no concrete signals for a military attack of any kind in Kosovo, but we must be very vigilant and prepared, as we never know. Many have underestimated the Russian danger in Ukraine and have not believed it could come to an open war. We do not want Kosovo to fall prey to the wrong and incorrect estimates. We are in constant contact with all our partners and allies in order for the situation and developments in the region to be monitored with extraordinary care. It is important to say that there is no need for anyone in Kosovo to feel panic about the situation, as there is no presumption that we are close to an armed conflict with anyone, said Gervalla.
