Kamberi: Not the first time Serbia aims to destabilise region

Serbia next month holds parliamentary elections. Unlike the 2020 elections, when Albanians of the Presevo Valley were presented with a joint list, in the April 3rd elections Albanians will turn to ballot boxes with two options; The Valley Albanian Coalition and the Alternative for Change. Former Albanian deputy in parliament [...]
The former Albanian MP in Serbia's parliament, now hosting the Valley Albanian Coalition List, Shaip Kamberi, in RTK, said parliamentary elections in Serbia have always been a challenge for Albanian political parties there.
We don't have a common list, we go with two separate lists. We aim to have three mandates in Serbia's Parliament, and the law allows this”, he said.
Serbia's government has decided that a part of the Anemorawa Serbs -- on the part of Kosovo -- should vote in Bujanoc, and that could affect the destabilisation of Bujanoc as a neurological centre.
I don't understand why Serbia's government has brought Serbs to vote right here, not in Serb settlements. This could burden the situation here, on election day”, he said.
While, in terms of the Kurti Government's decision to ban voting for Serbia's parliamentary elections in Kosovo, Kamberi says he believes that the Kosovo government, along with international friends, has thoroughly examined and analysed the consequences that would result from holding Serbian votes in Kosovo.
As for the Serb warning that they will withdraw from Kosovo institutions, Kamberi says this is already nothing new.
“This is not the first time Serbia aims to destabilise the Western Balkans, starting in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and now in Kosovo, and to impose Serbian influence, as they say in the new political dictionary, “Serbian worlds”, he said.
Kamberi says this should also be seen as Alexander Vuciqi's attempt to garner as many votes in Kosovo as possible from far-right Serb nationalists.
Kamberi also criticised the Serbian government for having repeated Albanian addresses, which has changed the residential structure in Bujanoc and will also affect regional and central representation of the pronounced there.
