Olympic champion Distria Krasniqi and European champion Akil Gjakova won the top prizes, while the coach of the year was chosen Driton Kuka.
This means that Kosovo's judo is dominate all the prices when it comes to sports.
The IJF is proud of that, but it requires Kosovo sports to be held in general.
In Kosovo, a country which Judo sport has elites, District Krasniqi, Olympic champion in the category -48kg and Akil Gjakova, European champion, have been rewarded by selecting the athletes of the year and from here we inform you: As long as we're proud of Kosovo's jungle, other sports have to get up because Judo is winning all the prices every year and, even though he deserves them, we don't want to get excited. Driton Kuka also returned home with the coach's award. We're sure he doesn't have multiple spaces in his home because this prize is won every year”, the International Judo Federation writes on its official website.
Distria Krasniqi and Nora Gjakova won gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics.
