Hallim for Periscope: All prices have reached a peak, the Kurti spectator government

The political spokeswoman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Sübel Halimi, during a brief interview with Periscope Journal has talked about the country's heavy socioeconomic situation, about management by Kurti Government, the role of the opposition in these circumstances, as well as the eventual consequences that this situation can produce. Speaking of valuing [...]
Speaking of its assessment about the management of the situation on the part of the Government of Kosovo, now after the economic crisis that hit Kosovo with the expensive product, Halimi has said the Government has chosen the role of observers.
The government must play a more active role, especially when citizens face a state of emergency like this is happening right now. Unfortunately, the government has chosen to play observer role in this crisis. While countries in the region and the world have taken steps to manage the situation since the beginning of the crisis, Kurti Government has chosen to see this situation from a distance, as an observer. So by leaving citizens alone, in coping with this crisis which, in addition to affecting every dimension of life, is making it unbearable for them”, Halimi said.
On the other hand, Halimi has said that in crisis situations such as the one where Kosovo is located, the government should ignore resentment and not choose arrogance as a means of communication. This, since according to Halim, we are talking about general state interest.
The LDK's “Warnings have been permanent in all cases; we have not only made the critic, but we have also offered possible solutions and alternatives to institutions, all of this in the function of citizens' goods, in order to cope more easily with price raising”, Halimi added.
In crisis situations, the government must overcome political resentments, especially when welfare and citizens are at stake. We as the LDK have given concrete proposals on how to get out of this crisis, which is making the cost of living unaffordable for citizens. Our proposals for the power crisis, the oil crisis and the crisis with the price of essential products, so we've offered preliminary solutions to all the problems we're facing. But this government has unfortunately chosen arrogance as a means of communication, abandoning citizens at the most difficult time of”, Halimi has added further.
Finally, Halimi has said that this passively followed situation by Government has already weighed down the lives of citizens, which is affecting their leaving Kosovo.
The government's established and inaction situation in taking adequate measures has already burdened the lives of citizens. The price of electricity, oil, and essential products has reached its peak. This reflects directly on the welfare of citizens, even within just two months of December 2021 and January 2022, at Germany's embassy have applied for work visas to over 100,000 citizens. All our proposals are in place, preventing any unpleasant situation for the country and its citizens”, Halimi has ended. / PERISCOP
