Albanian citizens, numerous in number, also gathered this Saturday before the prime minister on the fourth day of the protest with some clear demands for the head of government, urging the latter to take the necessary measures to lower the price of fuel and basic basket products.
Although Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, announced that today the work of the oil suppliers' control board has begun, and the government has gathered to approve at least anti-crisis, citizens have gathered again.
The main theme of this march was “we're not making politics”.
Citizens have come from different cities in Albania. They keep banners in their hands and demand a discount.
We remember that the citizens' revolt came after the morning of March 7th, when the prices of various products, in supermarkets, or other services, such as road transport, suffered a drastic increase.
The price of oil, within 24 hours, cost them more than a day ago.
On the other hand, activists, via online channels, initiated the first gatherings.
So Wednesday's afternoon found citizens under the government's “directorying”, such as to ask “calgari” for every spent cent.
Manufacturations were extended to Tirana's main excises, making “parising” them. The next day, police structures, based on collected evidence, carried out arrests for various criminal acts.
Another thing happened on Thursday afternoon, which offered two views of the event.
The one of citizens expressing their controversy under the prime minister's office and Rama's, who at a warned exit, was conducting an online conversation with his Facebook followers.
Often, during the conversation, the cheers of protesters were clearly heard, which were interferring to live-video. The prime minister suggested that the cabinet government in 48 hours would announce a concrete plan.
He stressed, especially, the union, the truth, and the facts of the problem.
In a mild tone, by restoring citizens to the day of earthquake and pandemic, he stressed that “just as we protected the families of this country, we will again come to the defense of the families of this country in this” crisis situation.
Less than 24 hours later, the government at a table gathered all oil suppliers, suggesting that a board of supervisory will be established just for them.
This, with the sole purpose, will no longer have abusive prices that weigh the pockets of citizens.
Rama this time, with tougher tones, promised that oil suppliers would be removed license if the latter violated the designated profit margin.
But even that did not stop the hearts of the citizens.
At the same hour, they gathered in front of the prime minister, while calling that on Saturday, March 12th, they will continue with their cause.
Unlike previous ones, where citizens manifested themselves separately, in different cities today, “Albania” will meet in the capital square.
