Look me in the eye”, “playing the leader of a link show”, British journalist badly hits Lavrov

The British journalist crashed badly with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov after an interview, the journalist addressed him saying, "Look me in the eye and tell me how you can sleep at night knowing that Russian bombs are killing the children?" This question irritated the Russian foreign minister deeply, [...]
That question irritated the Russian foreign minister until a moment when he told him that he was playing the leader of a trick show.
Nevertheless, the journalist asked him whether she has prepared the defence as Russia is being investigated by The Hague International war crimes tribunal.
You can read this from Lavrov's interview, where he's hit hard with the British journalist:
JournalMr. Lavroor, I want to ask you something about Paulina Zapadyskaya. She was in her senior year of elementary school. She was shot dead by the Russians while you were in the car with her family in Kiev on Saturday. Mr. Lavroor, I know you have a daughter too, I want you to look me in the eye and tell me, how can you sleep at night knowing that Russian bombs and bullets are killing my children?
Lavrov: So, what else can I say besides what I've already said? Every human life is precious. Any military action unfortunately relates to the loss of lives. Not only among military personnel but among civilians. Our military personnel already involved in this special operation have a very strict order to use only great military equipment to suppress military infrastructure. Even barracks where the Ukrainian army is located are not subject to any attack. I can only express my condolences.
JournalMr. Lavor, you said it was using high accuracy, but hundreds of civilians reportedly died. Now this is being investigated by the International Court of Justice. I'm asking if you personally are preparing protection for a war crimes court.
Lavrov: I understand your desire to ask so many hot questions because you want to emotionally upload your audience. This is your job as far as I understand it, not to function as the media, but rather as an instrument for hitting people's heads with hammers. I want to repeat, I'm not justifying any action that leads to the death of civilians. But we're not the ones that came up with the expression of collateral damage. It was created by Western colleagues during escapes to Iraq and earlier in other states, America Latina, Libya.
Have you ever had the same emotional burden to cover the events in Iraq and Libya, where hundreds of thousands of civilian victims were. I don't remember, so I see your question was rhetorical.
Journal: Absolutely, Mr. Lavrov. But you started this war. Polina's blood is in your hands.
Lavrov: You're playing a game now or you're playing a TV game, if you want to know my personal opinion. I believe he has already expressed it very clearly, including humanitarian aspects in this operation. But I really would like you to do it, although I understand you'll cover it up the way you're asked. I really want you to know, and I hope that a reporter who's filling out a summary has a conscience. How you behaved in the last eight years when girls like her and older women were killed by thousands of mines in Donba. They were killed by the Ukrainian regime.
Please visit our ministry page for more information. I don't want to take the tent time showing longer stories. If you're as concerned as you have the right to be about the consequences of the people or soldiers of the operation then God wanted you to go to those pages that you've so far preferred not to touch in your professional role. /Express
