EULEX reinforces Kosovo police unit

In a communique sent to the media, EULEX said this unit, comprised of 92 members of the European Gendarmeria Force, from Portugal, France and Italy, “will land temporarily in Kosovo during the following weeks” to reinforce, as said, the “apacts of EULEX Specialised Police Unit”.
“Specialised Reserve Police Unit will support EULEX for the fulfillment of its tasks, including as the second security responder in Kosovo, if necessary”, is said in the communique.
EULEX's regular specialised unit consists of 105 police officials from Poland, who are stationed in Mitrovica.
In Kosovo, the first security response is Kosovo Police; E ULEX is second, while peacekeeping mission NATO, KFOR, is third.
Last week, the European Union mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, EUFOR has sent 500 additional soldiers to this country.
EUFOR Commander in Bosnia Anton Wessely has said additional troops are deployed as precautionary measures and that there is no information about security threats in this country.
EUFOR troops have arrived in wartime Bosnia in Ukraine, which, according to Wesley, is an issue of concern for all of Europe.
