The renowned boxer Petrit White is among the 13 arrested as part of a drug gang in Italy.
White, known as “Titi”, has been arrested along with the popular singer Elsa Lila.
White is close to Arben Zogu, 40, known as the ultrasis of Lacio's team. A bird known as “Ricardino” was sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges of involvement in drug trafficking.
Arben Zogu along with two other Albanians, Orial Kolaj, 30, and Petrit Bardhi, 39, were arrested during an Italian police operation in 2015. They were part of the Mafia group “Guarnera”, consisting of a large group of Albanian citizens, named as “boxies”.
Among the bandits is boxer Orial Kolaj, Italian and European middle and maximumweight champion.
Albanians are accused of being linked to the Kamorra submarine, known as the Casalese clan. Selling cocaine and collecting fines were the main activity of Albanians.
The key man, Arben Zogu, who was known as Richardino, or “Ricky”, directed the part that was related to Albania.
Orial Kolaj, an Albanian-born boxer who won the Italian Heavyweight Championship in 2012 along with two fellow countrymen, Arben Zogu and Petrit White, were the authors of acts of violence and intimidation of fined.
