Vladimir Putin has kept his cabinet in the dark as regards his plans to invade Ukraine, and officials have been unprepared to the level of international sanctions, confirmed sources close to the Kremlin, writes the Daily Mail, Pryskopi watches.

The Russian cabinet was aware that the powerful Russian leader had planned recognition of the two separatist regions in central Ukraine as independent, but were shocked when they discovered his plan to invade the entire country, reports the agency Agentstvo.

The source from the Kremlin said that “nobody has expected” the harsh financial sanctions of the West, such as the expulsion of Russian banks from the banking system. SWIFT because Putin had kept his plan for the invasion of Ukraine to his leadership a secret.

This is fucked up. They've come out of their mind”, said one source.

Government officials had expressed their desire to resign, but were afraid their resignation would be viewed as treason by Putin, the source said, adding: “The resignation would lead only to a prison camp”.

Moscow has consistently denied that an invasion is in their plans, insisting that the formation of 190,000 Russian troops and military arsenal was for training purposes.

They are the most powerful people in the Kremlin, including army leaders and security services, and are said to fear a great deal about the consequences of the invasion of Ukraine.

But the Daily Mail says the key top-helpers are very little likely to oppose Putin because he has made them extremely wealthy as a reward for their nationalism -- and they remain to the point of being afraid of Putin.
