Austrian Chancellor: Together with Germany, work for Kosovo's EU membership

After the meeting in the prime minister, Kurti said that “has been talked about the new political situation and the need for increased caution in this part of Europe, the importance for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe and the European Union”, Kurti said.
Kurti said from the Austrian Chancellor has asked Austria to push ahead the visa liberalisation decision for Kosovo.
Kurti added that the Austrian Chancellor's visit comes at a tense time for the democratic world.
He has thanked him for Austria's continued support and assistance to Kosovo during the recent war.
Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer said Kosovo should be part of the European Union family.
It is important that Austria be the Kosovo bridge with the European Union, it will be important to include Germany as well because they are friends of Kosovo and to speed up membership in the European Union, we hope to get out because the Balkans are geostrategic and geopolitical points important to Austria”, he said.
He said Austria is a major ally of Kosovo.
