We have about 5,000 people from Ukraine who have arrived in France. Every day we have new achievements”, Minister Marlene Schippa said in an interview.
Schippa has said that any Ukrainian who needs accommodation can find it in France, but has added that it is not guaranteed to receive refugee status, in the hope that they can return to their country.
Instead, they are offered a temporary <x0status, immediate” with the same protection guarantees as refugee status, she said, adding that this would also provide access to schooling and medical financial support.
It also announced a <x0 refugee sponsorship system” through a new platform. The page of parrainage.refugies.info will allow French families to receive a Ukrainian family with the support of nongovernmental organisations.
