A Russian commercial plane flew into Canadian airspace despite measures imposed by Canada that prevent any Russian aircraft from entering its territory.
Canada's Transport Ministry said it will review the Russian company's 111 flight course, Aeroflower, and that “will not hesitate to take appropriate action”.
Following the Flight Age tracking website, the plane was flying to Moscow on Sunday after leaving the US city of Miami in Florida.
Canada, along with several Western countries, has closed airspace to Russia because of its unprotested invasion of Ukraine.
The US said it is considering a similar move.
