RTK board chairman Besnik Boletini said that over the period over 3m euros have been spent.
New management of RTK also spoke of thousands of euros public television has paid and will continue to pay a company called “TV Diaspora”. This company was said to have won the course in court and that the previous management has reached agreement to pay the debt in installments.
RTK General Director Shkumbin Ahmetxekaj's taskman said there is no contract signed on this debt and that there is no legal basis for television to pay for something for which there is no contract.
“As far as debt to TV Diaspora is concerned, I've requested an additional clarification. Looks like there's never been a contract with this company, so we're gonna see it again because it looks irrational that RTK... The owner to enter RTK to receive funds for a company that has no signed contracts. It means, we're going to have to review once again the possibility of how to get back into the judicial process because it seems unfair and irrational, as well as unfounded in the law so that we can pay for something that no firm has signed by anyone”, Ahmetxekaj said.
