Krasniqi said mutual recognition should occur without touching Kosovo's constitutional order and defending sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The stance and approach of the Democratic Party of Kosovo in relation to dialogue remains constant and unchanged, even when we have had the responsibility of governing the country even when we are in opposition for two years now. We believe dialogue is the mechanism without an alternative to try to reach an inclusive agreement on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, which would result in mutual recognition between our two states, always within the framework of the existing constitutional order, sovereignty and our territorial integrity. We believe that there is this platform that would enable such a thing if we had a more proactivity and a greater seriousness in access by the Government. We've said it before and I'm going to repeat today that we understand that the constitutional legal responsibility rests with Prime Minister Kurti and the government to take steps in this direction to lead the dialogue, and if an agreement under it could be reached, and we believe that the PDK would support such a thing”, Krasniqi said in Context.
Our “Our condition is based on the platform we've had public since 2017, since the chairman of the committee. The PDK was Kadri Wessel when we organised political parties' tables to discuss and try to find a harmonisation of positions and we remain in these positions. I believe that all parties, regardless of whether they're in position or opposition, have the same or similar positions and unlike the time when we've had governmental responsibility, Prime Minister Kurti has the extremely comfortable and favourable position”, the head of the country added. PDK.
Krasniqi also said Kurti has high priority compared to his predecessors for having the parliamentary majority, and there is no preventative opposition.
The previous “has a huge parliamentary majority, has absolute control over all the laws of power, and has a state opposition that well understands that the one who understood when it was in opposition the importance of state actions and an opposition that has not misused dialogue and will not use it to make the daily political topic for our internal cures, since it is a topic that does not belong to opposition parties, but is a topic that belongs to Kosovo and our citizens' perspective<1), Mesik Krasni said, among other things.
