Kosovo driver license recognition: “Green” deliver good news

Germany and Kosovo are very close to finalising the agreement on recognition of drivers' license. The final verdict on this is expected to provide members of the German Bundesrat at the February 11th 2022 session. Out of 69 members as part of Bundesrat, 35 votes should be in favour of recognising the license of Republican drivers [...]
The “vote for” is expected to give “Green”, which has a considerable number of representatives in Bundraat. So said in a response to Gazeta Express, spokesman for the “Greens party” on human rights issues, Boris Mijatovic.
“Following my information, “Green” in Bunderat support the recognition of drivers from Kosovo. In any case, the decision depends not only on “Green”, but also on other parties which have representatives in Bundesrat”, Mijatovic said.
Mijatovic has further pointed to the work of working Bundesra, and the number of federal states where “Green” have representatives.
“Bundesratti works differently from Bundestag. Bundesrat is the parliament of 16 federal states within Germany. It is made up of representatives of 16 ruling coalitions of federal states. Each of the 16 states has a number of votes between three and six (Despite the population number). In total there are 69 votes, so the majority is created by at least 35 votes. Each of the 16 governments represented in the Bundesra decide uniformly and independently. “Green” is represented in 10 of the 16 governing coalitions”, Mijatovic explained.
“Greens spokesman” says that due to this composition and consistency of the Bundestrat is not possible to make any predictions about the outcome of the vote.
In the end, Boris Mijatovic says he personally supports the recognition of the Kosovo driver's license.
“I hope I helped you with my answers. I personally support the recognition of drivers from Kosovo”, has ended Mijatovic.
In Bunderia there are a total of 7 parties, most of which have so far maintained supportive attitudes on the processes Kosovo has passed. Large numbers of representatives have former Chancellor Angela Merkel's CDU.
On this issue days ago, it has also announced the Kosovo Embassy in Berlin, announcing the process, following numerous citizens' interest.
