Hummol at The Hague: I've made an effort for MPs to cancel the Special Court, but I haven't found enough support.

Former Kosovo Liberation Army member Fatmir Humolli has said in front of the Specialised Chambers in The Hague that he is skeptical whether this court will give fair decisions. Humoll, who is deputy of the Vetevendosje Movement, has said he has tried to abolish the Special Court and that he would vote for it if he [...]
However, Humolli has said he respects the special institution since the same was created by the Kosovo Assembly.
While from the Special Prosecutor's Office he has been asked how he can respect a court he believes is unfair.
“I have made an effort that MPs with anau court but still could not find sufficient support of MPs, and our institutions should have returned to Pristina, not here. I have been sentenced in the Yugoslav state and Yugoslavia has had all the republics filled with Albanian prisoners, what it needs today to be filled with prisoners of Europe, carried by Kosovo to come here when KFOR has been and is in Kosovo, U n NMIC has been and is in Kosovo, EULEX has been in Kosovo, and today it is not possible to hold judgments in Pristina is an insult to the European Union, and this is where Serbia has achieved its goal by building this court has said EULEX could not become a rule of law in Kosovo, U n NMIC has not been able to become law and order in Kosovo”, Humolli has said.
Humolli has said he is skeptical whether this court can render fair judgments until he is asked whether he believes this institution will issue fair decisions.
The Kosovo Assembly MP has said such an assessment is empowered by the way he is being questioned.
Humoll has said he respects the decisions of the Kosovo Assembly, where this court was created, but continues to assess that the same has been built unjustly.
This institution has been put under political pressure when it has voted the Kosovo Parliament once has not voted for this court, and as a result of pressure from the international community, it has been forced once again in a day by corrupting the most elected MPs even until it has been done in this approach there is no possibility after political credibility, and now because it is within Europe, I am convinced that if the European people implement democracy both for Kosovo and for what democracy is in their own countries, then I am very convinced that we will get out and my thoughts have been right. And for that, respect is to international opinion, European opinion, the European people, not to political decisions, which they take with daily pressures or interests”, he has said.
However, Hummol has said he will only speak the truth in this court until he has announced that after the arrest of Salih Mustaf, he has visited his former co-ordinator's family and has expressed his willingness to testify in this trial if necessary.
I support justice and believe that Salih Mustafa is innocent and I warn him that he stood upright if he made mistakes to the market if he didn't make mistakes to defend himself to the end, otherwise he couldn't be a member of the National Movement for the Liberation of Kosovo... For the war and the life he's made, what we have days, we know that war and his life have always been in the service of the country, never has it ever been a selfish struggle for personal interests”, the passion said.
He said Salih Mustaf's arrest was a surprise to him.
“Salih Mustafa from the war and after the war has worked through Kosovo institutions, has co-operated with NATO, co-operated with all international mechanisms in the sector he has acted and worked for me, and it has been a surprise for me to arrest Salih Mustaf when he has gone to Brussels to present his knowledge, his experience, and at this moment for every citizen, even in the media if you have seen him, they are surprised to arrest Salih Mustaf,”, he added.
The former Kosovo Liberation Army member from the Llap Operative Zone has said such arrests are political and are not aimed at dawning the truth.
Such arrests, in my opinion, are not political arrests with the intention of making the truth clear. I don't know how many of my political thoughts went into court, if you're going to prove the truth I say you understand that the truth I've been thinking about is telling you right now and I'm telling you everywhere, it's true what I said about Salih Mustaf, and it's true what I say. I don't care how others think about the consequences they can cause after that, I tell the truth”, he said.
Humoll is the 13th witness to the Special Prosecutor's Office, and his testimony has begun to be heard yesterday in Specialised Chambers in The Hague.
Among other things, he has said no army in the world has fought clean as the Kosovo Liberation Army.
He is the last witness of the Specialised Procuron Office in the trial of Salih Mustaf, which started on September 15th 2021 and is the first in Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague.
The Act against Salih Mustafa, who is the first arrested by the Special, was confirmed on June 12, 2020, as he was arrested on September 24th last year, with the claim of war crimes.
He is standing at The Hague's detention centre, while in his statement to the court, Salih Mustafa has been declared innocent.
