Ten thousand euros extra for two years, Gashi: I didn't even know they met us 10 years ago I gave up my travel fees.

The chief of the Democratic League of Kosovo Parliamentary Group, Arben Gashi, has reacted after it was said that for two years it had spent over 10,000 euros in state money on travel. Gashi through a Facebook post said that in his first term as deputy he lived in Pec. Gashi says it [...]
Gashi says he had known at the time that travel expenses were being covered. He said he has announced in his second term that he was living in Pristina.
My “Mandati as Kosovo Parliament deputy is fifth in a row. During my first term, I lived in the Pec municipality. At the time, for the overwhelming part of MPs, or those living outside the capital, the Kosovo Assembly Secretariat had estimated that travel expenses should be paid. In fact, at the time, I didn't even know we had this, which I've realized for many months that it's been too late for”, Gashi wrote.
I live in Pristina. And from my first day of my second mandate, I have announced the Secretariat of the Kosovo Parliament from now on living in the capital and that I am normally released from paying travel”, he added.
He said that voluntarily and without pressure from public opinion, he does not receive money for travel spending 10 years ago.
“To be even more concrete; with awareness and a clear conscience, in line with the norms of ethics, with my free will and without the pressure of public opinion, I have announced and requested, and I have been free from paying travel expenses since my first day of my second term .C. 10 years ago, or since I live in Pristina”, Gashi wrote.
