Beden briefed Kuleba on the US response to Russia's decision to “recognise the supposed “independence of the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk controlled by rebels, the White House says.
This included new sanctions announced today, and a pledge to continue security assistance and economic support for Ukraine, he says.
Vice President Biden reiterated the willingness of the United States, in close co-operation with allies and partners, to respond quickly and decisively to any further Russian aggression against Ukraine.
