VVV rejects PDK initiative for draft law on police officials' pensions

The Commission for Security and Defence Affairs has reviewed the Bill on Pensions of Kosovo Police Police Officials and Kosovo Police Inspectorate officers with police authorisation, the initiative of Democratic Party of Kosovo deputies, and the same has been prosecuted for the session. But by the deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement, it was said [...]
But from the deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement, it was said they would not vote on this initiative because, according to them, the government will bring the early retirement bill.
PDK MP Ganimete Musliu said Kosovo police need such a law.
Kosovo Police really need to have such a law. This bill proposes the legal adjustment of retirement rights time. Conditions and criteria for guaranteeing pensions, pension types” will be regulated, she said.
Four types of pensions, regular, disabled, family, and volunteer pensions have been proposed in this bill.
“We are risking to be the oldest police in the region, we have come to the conclusion that there is a need to take this initiative, to propose to the Parliament to issue this law. I expect recommendations to be given between the two readings for this bill to be finalised as law and for it to be applicable”, concluded Musliu.
But deputy from the Vetevendosje Movement Enver Dugolli has said we will not participate in the vote on this initiative, since they say it is not serious.
“The PDK sponsor or deputies who have initiated this initiative have also had to agree and encourage PDK deputies to initially vote on the international agreement to fund a project for social and pension schemes, with what the road would open, and the government would start this initiative to complete the pension schemes because we have already said, as we have said we will also make the pension law for the Kosovo Police”, Dugolli has said.
An international agreement has been struck twice in a row, The PDK and LDK knocked it down, that agreement would come back to the Assembly, and I call on parliamentary colleagues to vote on this international agreement and then work together, but there is a order, the government makes plans and it will bring us the Law for Retirement for the Kosovo Police, but also the law that regulates the pension schemes eventually<1>, he added.
While the MP The PDK, Rashit Qalaj, has asked the Vetevendosje Movement to reconsider their stance and support this initiative.
Sometimes colleague Enver doesn't know what he's talking about, that's bullshit, the MP doesn't come in here playing games, but they propose laws”, he said.
I know what I'm talking about, if you don't want to understand it's another matter. We do not say that we oppose the Kosovo Police's early retirement law. It was our promise, and it's going to be”, Dugolli responded.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Shqipe Selimi has said the PDK deputies' initiative is shot but that they will expect such a bill to come to the Assembly by the government.
Don't look at us here as part of the power and say we're against. We are for this law, but we expect this law to come from the government, the Ministry of Finance and the Interior Ministry. But first, the Law must be regulated for wages and civil servants. When it comes from the government it comes with a sign that can be accomplished. We can vote here, but how much can be applied in the field. I congratulate you on the initiative, but I expect this law to come from the government”, Selimi has said.
While Fatmir Humolli from the Vetevendosje Movement said it is good for the commission to be in charge of its task.
The commission said this bill was sent to the government and was expected 30 days but had no opinion.
The moment government authorities make sure they can produce a bill that is better for a wait than this, you will have my back”, LDK deputy Anton Quinn has said.
