The light of day changes, as does the temperature. The body begins to adapt and the biological clock changes. There are many changes that take place each season, and because they are gradual, we may not understand them very much. During the winter months, much more intense fatigue is observed, and there is a very reliable reason for melatonin.

Hormone produced by the brain that regulates sleep. The more light is exposed to the brain, the less melatonin is secreted and vice versa. The more darkness, the more melatonin. Melatonin creates this very sense of drowsiness and fatigue, and when natural light begins to weaken in early afternoons, brain melatonin levels increase and “na calls” for rest and more hours of sleep. This phenomenon has also been called seasonal fatigue, yet it is a normal reaction of the organism to feel more tired and sleepy in the winter months.

But what can you do to eliminate this particular situation?

Choose to wake up and sleep at the same time each day. Bedtime is the first and foremost to deal with seasonal fatigue.

Stay in the sunlight as long as you can. For example, if you work from home, choose your balcony instead of your living room so that you can get as much light as possible.

We sleep in the afternoon with energy. If you feel exhausted, try to sleep for an hour in the afternoon so that you can be in a better mood and more energy for the rest of the evening.

Don't have high heat at night. A good night's sleep is also important to reduce the fatigue you feel tomorrow. For a deep sleep, it's best not to have very high temperatures in your room.

Plan your meals. Food could not be lacked here, for it is also a determining factor in the feeling of fatigue. Try to eat your meals at the same time each day and maintain a balance.
