Wisner: Final Kosovo- Serbia does not need formal recognition

Former US Special Representative for “Talks on Kosovo Status”, Frank G. Wisner, has declared that Kosovo and Serbia can live without knowing each other. According to him, the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia does not have formal recognition since Kosovo and Serbia can co-operate in many areas even without recognizing each other's sovereignty.
Wisner is convinced that even so “has a road ahead of”.
“I see a partial solution and that is whether both sides can agree to live side-by-side without knowing the formalisation of sovereignty”, he told Albanian Post, commenting on the case if there are no recognition solutions.
It is possible for Kosovo and Serbia to find the common language, with which they can trade, run cultural issues, make scientific exchanges, conduct financial transactions and investments, allow the opening of roads and move”.
“I believe this would be possible, but it cannot be done if Kosovo insists that Serbia secure recognition of independence”.
Furthermore, Wisner also has conviction that “Serbia will neither provide Kosovo easy access to the United Nations Organisation”.
So if someone is prepared to accept practical solutions it can be found, if anyone wants to find sovereignty in the UN I don't think solutions are possible”.
For Wisner to achieve a final reconciliation is that it would do good to the two states, Kosovo and Serbia, but it would provide “across the region”.
The following agreement and exchange “push them to live side-by-side in peace”.
And although Serbia would not formally recognise Kosovo, it claims that “however learn to live with independent Kosovo”.
Wsiner was appointed to this post by Secretary of State Condoleza Rice in 2005.
