Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Ukraine of attacking the Crime Bridge and has seen it as “terrorism”.
Putin has said Ukrainian intelligence forces have been intent on destroying a significant part of Russia's civil infrastructure.
He made these statements at a meeting with Russia's Detective Committee chief Alexander Bastrykin.
Russia annexed the Crime Peninsula in 2014, while the bridge has been released for circulation four years later.
Earlier on Sunday, Russia increased security on this bridge the only one that links it to the Ukrainian Crime Peninsula after the October 8th powerful explosion in it.
President Putin has ordered Federal Security Service (FSB) to monitor the bridge.
According to Russian investigators, three people have died as a result of the explosion, and several segments of the road have been severely damaged.
Victims have been in a car near the bomb truck that exploded, Russian authorities have said.
Bastrykin has said Russian citizens and several foreign states have helped prepare for the attack.
Russian officials have also said they have immediately started work to regulate damaged road segments.
Considered by Russian media as the “construction of the century”, the bridge is considered the key to carrying military equipment, ammunition and military equipment to the south of Ukraine, from the outbreak of war in this country at the end of February.
Putin himself calls the war <x0 special military operation” to demilitarise Ukraine.
The West has responded to Russia, striking the economy of this state with severe sanctions.
As a result of the war, thousands have died, and millions of others have been displaced from their homes. /rel
