At the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church (KOS), Porfirije, on the throne of the Archbishop of Pec and the patriarch of Serbs, was held at the monastery of Paja in western Kosovo.
On October 14th, the Serbian Orthodox Church and believers mark the religious festival of the Patriarchate of Pec monastery.
The trial act of the patriarch took place a year and eight months after his election as leader of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Representatives of the Serbian List, Mitropolis of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro, Ionanikije, and Serbian citizens from Kosovo and the countries of the region participated in the ceremony.
Patriarch Porfirije came to Kosovo on 12 October, where he was hosted by the bishop of Raska and Prizren, Theodosije, as well as by other Serbian Orthodox clergy and monks.
The “whenever we come here (to Kosovo) we have a deep sense that we have returned to ourselves”, the Serbian patriarch said in a speech from Prizren before the maturity.
Kosovo police with operational plan
Earlier, Kosovo Police spokesman for the Pec region Fadil Gashi, in a conversation with Radio Free Europe (REL), said an operational plan for ensuring security during the Patriarch Porfirije's act of dissolving.
He explained that the operational plan has entered into force on 12 October and will last until the outcome of the move action.
