Mustafa for the notorious VVA videos: What he now needs to deal with with Thaci, he has his own issues at The Hague

Videos presented by the Vetevendosje Movement, featuring the “state-destructors”, are being seen as low behaviour by former Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.

The former head of the LDK has said these videos are being made to draw attention to the ill-governance, while citing things that were done during his mandate. He says many jobs have been done for these 20 years, ranging from Kosovo's liberation, independence to consolidating the state with international partners.

I've been surprised because it's not common for the ruling party to deal with such videos now. If the ruling party worked well, then it would be a better mirror than distinguishing for good from past governments, and I think it doesn't serve Vetevendosje at all, nor does the Guso List that are together or the prime minister, because they are very low-blower behavior”, Mustafa says.

There's a lot of inaccuracies there first, most of what they say are false because it's not true that Kosovo has been damaged in the past. The first of the LDK has said the government led by him has had no cases of crime and corruption, and progress of relations with the International Community.

He has also cited the signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement that has been made during his rule, while appealing to stop dealing with people who are no longer part of politics.

There has certainly been weaknesses, but there has been economic growth, there has been consolidation of institutions, there has been progress of external relations. We have reached a Stabilisation and Association Agreement, there has been government that has not had a case of crime and corruption, and now the government Kurti is talking about, because even my government has never had such a case. At that time we've taken great steps of external relations and are very low and harmful accusations, because it's just being exasperated between position and opposition, and we are also being accused of some who are now not part of the opposition position”, Mustafa said.

Mustafa has expressed surprise at the involvement of former President Hashim Thaci, who is facing the Special Court.

“What it now needs to deal with Mr. Thaci, he has his own cases at The Hague tribunal, so it's completely unrealistic for people who are in power to behave in such form. It's also false that the things that have been said about these extortions, the customs terminals, which have no truth, but we now have to remain alone in court individually with Government and Vetevendosje on false charges that harm publicly and that no one takes responsibility for”, Mustafa said.
