Austrian Eurodeput Lucas Mandl has said he is surprised by the European Commission's report on Serbia.
Mandl has said that in the European Parliament by majority, he has approved resolutions on 1 March, where deep concern about Serbia's approach to the war in Ukraine has been voiced.
My feeling for the report, when it comes to Serbia, is it's not from the European Commission, but from another universe. This parliament on 1 March by majority has voiced deep concern for Serbia over the war. She hasn't changed her approach. Where is the red line for the Commission to stop pretending that the Government of Serbia, Serbia's leadership, will be the regular government and in line with EU values? Why are you saying that Kosovo should be more engaged in dialogue with Serbia, when Serbia is the one blocking Kosovo and not vice versa. Maybe you should reshape that statement”, Mandl said.
