Kurti made these statements at NATO's 102nd Rose-Roth Seminary of the Parliamentary Assembly, with the theme “The Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans: prolonged challenges, new realities and future prospects”.
He said the Western Balkans as a region with many unresolved problems are also sensitive to the aspect of political stability.
“NATO is the only political and military ally aiming to preserve the achievements of human society and advanced democratic values, which as the gravitational centre have the life and development of the human being. In this contemporary, security and democratic environment and human society is being challenged by the renaissance of old but not forgotten fascist and hegjmonistic ideas”, Kurti said.
The country's prime minister said Serbia has welcomed Russian influence and is using it to continue the threat of security and peace in this part of Europe.
He said that more than ever today NATO countries should contribute to cohesion and expansion of capacities. While adding that the Republic of Kosovo is clear towards integration of Euro-Atlantic structures.
More than 100 participants, including MPs from NATO member states and partner states, deputies in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly and other guests, are participating in the three-day meeting of this seminar, which is being organised for the second time in Kosovo.
