The full letter of Lizz Truss:
Dear Prime Minister,
Thank you for your September 6th letter and good words for my appointment.
I would also like to thank you for the public condolences of Majesty Elizabeth II. It has been a constant and lasting presence in our country's life for seven decades, and has been especially devoted to the task and promotion of the world relations of the United Kingdom.
It was a pleasure to meet you twice this year as soon as I was a foreign secretary. The UK and Kosovo are clearly well co-ordinated in many areas and there are great opportunities for our countries to work even closer together.
Thank you for the sentence and quick implementation that Kosovo made against the unwarranted Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is important that European partners remain united in the difficult months coming in response to Russian aggression.
The UK was proud to help Kosovo secure its independence, and was the first country to formally recognise their independence in 2008. I will continue with great interest to follow developments in Kosovo until you continue with your reform processes.
