Bosch has made these statements through a post in his official account at Facebook, saying that if such a thing is true, then it is a great shame to hear a proposal from a country like France, aimed at leading the EU.
If that's true, then shame for France, which aspires to lead the EU. ETHIAS may not have been functional for a very long time, taking into account experiences with such systems in the past. Adding this additional conditioning only for Kosovo is nothing but total shame!”, he has written.
Such a condition has been rejected by Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani.
The country's first in a meeting with representatives of France, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium and Austria in Kosovo, said Kosovo agrees to be part of the ETIAS, but not to condition visa liberalisation with its functioning.
<x0) Republic of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has been hosting the meeting today, representatives of France, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium and Austria in Kosovo, with whom he discussed developments after the 13 October meeting of the European Council technical visa processing group in terms of visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens. The president will continue meetings with other ambassadors of EU member states in the coming days”, the presidency communiqué said.
In this regard, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who has gone to Berlin for the Socialist Party Congress, has not yet been declared.
