“Take measures!”
With this call, the letter to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Kosovo oilmen, has started to oppose the practice of setting ceiling prices for derivatives.
They are saying that the established retail price is below the purchase price, until this decision made by the government is being described as scandalous.
The price for oil today is 1.75 Euro, yesterday it was 1.68 Euros, while the pardje: 1.66 Euro. While the ceiling price set by the Government for Oil is 1.67 Euro”, it is said on paper.
The head of the Kosovo Oil Association, Fadil Berjan, said oil companies are working at losses and that with such decisions of the Government, most of them risk bankruptcy, reports Express.
“Decisions of this kind are forcing companies to operate with massive losses and very soon many of the companies will go bankrupt because of the wrong approach of Government in setting the ceiling price. Where both large companies and individual ones at lower costs at operating are equal. This practice will definitely bankrupt a lot of companies and my workers will be out of work”.
At the end of the letter, oilmen pray for a change in their decision until they say they are willing to talk to him.
We're asking you to change this practice, as we're always open to discuss the most appropriate mode of price fixing, based on real analysis”.
