Ukraine's president, Voldymyr Zelensky, had signed a decree through which all Ukrainian troops serving on foreign missions returned home.
Ukraine had about 40 peacekeepers in Kosovo. In announcing the withdrawal of troops, KFOR had thanked Ukrainians.
“Ukrainian has been a valuable contributor to our peacekeeping mission since KFOR's establishment in 1999. We welcome the country's past contributions to our daily efforts in support of all communities living in Kosovo and in consolidating stability throughout the Western Balkans region”, KFOR had said.
