Over 40 metres of wood confiscated with irregular documentation on the Vushtrri market

Kosovo police announced on Friday that they have confiscated 41.70 cubic metres of wood mass with irregular documentation on the Vushtrri market.
According to the report, their selection was made in the morning during an operational plan of inspectors from the Central Inspector's Directorate for Forestry and Hunting Agency of Kosovo and municipal inspectors in support of the Kosovo Police, police officials at the Vushtrri Police Station and the Police Department's Speed Response Unit in Mitrovica Yugu.
The purpose of this plan has been to prevent and stop illegal transport activities, collection, storage, sale and processing of timber without legal origin. Many wooded vehicles have been encountered in the town market of Vushtrri, while in verifying documentation, inspectors have encountered documentation irregularities in most log sellers”, the media report said.
“Discrequent wood - sized documentation devices have been forwarded from police officials to the depot of the Kosovo Forest Agency in Vushtrri, where of the 26 vehicles for carrying timber mass, 60.5m spatial or 41.70 cubic metres of timber have been confiscated. ”
Tools have been released, while counter-evasive or criminal procedures have remained to be carried out by Kosovo Forestry and Forest Agency inspectors.
