Renowned analyst Avdi Smajlaj has written about the comparison that the Kosovo Presidency made for spending with the leadership of the PPP presidency by former President Thaci.
He has some questions in which he says the presidency should answer (tell as he writes), although he says we are a poor country to measure citizen taxes.
Smajlaj writes:
News of the presidency's low expenses should be welcomed.
We are a poor country, and to become a massive citizen tax is unacceptable.
However, what is expected of the presidency is to tell us:
How many visits have taken place abroad?
How many heads of state and government of foreign countries have visited Kosovo?
How many international agreements Kosovo has reached in the field of trade, investment, diplomacy, education, culture, security, etc. ?
How many international organisations has Kosovo joined?
How much recognition has Kosovo accepted?
How many regional initiatives has Kosovo undertaken?
How much has Kosovo's position improved in international relations?
What is the state of our nation, and how should it be improved?
How are reforms going in different areas?
How can we membership Kosovo in the UN, NATO, EU?
How can Kosovo extend sovereignty in the north?
What is Kosovo's solution to dialogue?
How do Kosovo's depopulation stop?
How do we advance the protection of human rights and freedoms in Kosovo?
How to Develop the Land
How can we combat functional illiteracy in Kosovo?
How do we bring investment to Kosovo?
How to advance political, democratic, and social development?
So what?
Eat as much as you need, don't take it too badly, don't make mastraf. But work, fulfill your constitutional and political responsibilities.
The presidency is not a cooking, food platform, who eats better and less.
Food is not an indication of meeting the president's objectives.
