Lawyer Rees: Gucati is not guilty of any acts he is accused of

The defence of former head of the KLA War Veterans Organisation, lawyer Jonathan Elystan Rees, has said Hysni Gucati is not guilty of any of the acts he is accused of.

Conference on the progress of the case in The Hague Specialised Chambers has also been discussed for statements and closing dates in this case.

The chairman of the court, Charles Smith, has stated that Gucatt's defense has indicated that the panel must proceed further with the procedure of sharing the course.

And Rees has said that Hysni Gucati is not guilty of any of the provisions of the indictment.

So I think Mr. Gucati is not guilty of any of the deeds he's accused of. The fact that we've been asked to address the possibility of punishment for one or more acts in part demonstrates, or so we understand, now we're not in a favourable position to handle the sentence, and for that reason we think we can make relief statements before the” trial is rendered, attorney Rees said.

Rees has said the main basis of defence is the separation approach of the subject described by the judge.

I don't think there's any circumstances under which the court can exercise its right to make a decision immediately, Rees said.

The judge has made it known that there will be written decisions for all statements on the parties.

At the conference on the performance of the issue, among other things, it has become known that defence will not invite other witnesses to this judicial process.

The February 4th session in this judicial process has been cancelled, while the court will issue decisions regarding the steps we take in this process.
