Lajcak and Escobar's visit to Kosovo have seen it as very positive for the country's connoisseur of international affairs, Express newspaper reports.
International Law Professor Ertero Arifi has told T7 that the Kosovo side must be aware of the moment the country is undergoing.
And he has expressed that the subject of today's discussions will be: The Energy Agreement for the north of Kosovo, the missing in the last war in Kosovo, and the Association of Serb-based municipalities.
“The energy agreement for the north of Kosovo, for those missing that for us is a huge and very positive wound if we could solve it within a very short term and I believe then that the Association of Serb Major Communities will be the subject of the discussion of modalities, as Kosovo can accept that, or how it will be implemented”, he has declared.
In addition Arifi has said that whenever the agreement between the two states is made, the Association of Serb-run municipalities will either be done before or at the end of the deal.
“Normically this will probably link the end of the deal that whenever that agreement is, association can be done either before or at the end of the deal but always in agreement with international partners”, he stressed.
Arifi has said it is important that the European Union is exploiting the US to pressure the Kosovo and Serb sides.
The other side of what's important is that the European Union is exploiting the U.S. in a positive sense to pressure the parties to sit down. So there will be a resumption of dialogue in the sense that parties should show willingness to continue dialogue further, to resolve the final issue between Kosovo and Serbia. This in a shape would help the Western Balkans”, he added.
