He has said it is an honor for him to be representative of President Biden in Kosovo, at the time when the country, as Houvenier said, still has unfinished business.
Here's part of his speech at the conference with President Osmani, translates Periscopi:
The people of Kosovo have well played their role on the global diplomatic stage. It is an honor to serve as an ambassador to the United States of America in Kosovo.
I think my career in the United States service is an image of US dedication to Kosovo.
I am happy for the role of the US for Kosovo to function as a state. There are still unfinished jobs like any other country, and I am proud and a little excited by this opportunity to take part in this process again and be president of Beden.
Kosovo's future depends on leaders and its government. The United States is a stable partner of Kosovo and the commitment we will have is that of the American Embassy and we are friends with you, we will cooperate with the government, with civil society and with everyone.
The president has pledged her vows at the Democracy Summit for dedication to functioning and independent institutions, for the justice system for the non-represented groups to have a voice in institutions.
It's the beginning of a dialogue and it's wonderful as a first step. /Periscope
