Through a communique issued for media, police have shared several photos in which customs workers are seen leaving Serbia's license plates and placing Kosovo's provisional ones.
Kosovo's “Police based on its duties and authorisations is continuing the country-level police action company, with the goal of implementing the agreement for the specific free movement of vehicle plates. The RKS institutions' decision is being implemented by enabling citizens to handle license plates and to enable their circulation without difficulties”, the communique says.
Although the Government decision continues to be implemented, roads leading to the Jarinje and Brnjak border points remain blocked by Serbian protesters.
Today is the seventh day since Kosovo has begun implementing this agreement. As a result of the protests, the country's institutions have sent Special Unit forces to the north to control the situation.
