The coffee filter, part of which is American coffee, can reduce the risk of heart attack by up to 15 percent, has revealed a study.
Coffee preparation has been discovered to avoid heart problems and to lower cholesterol.
When coffee is placed in the filter, oil components that can increase cholesterol and lead to health complications are removed.
Previous studies have shown that coffee consumption is associated with so - called bad cholesterol and is potentially harmful to one's heart health.
In the new study, European researchers looked at the relationship between various methods of coffee drinking and the danger of heart attack and death.
More than 500,000 healthy men and women aged 2079 registered the amount and type of coffee they drank, for an average of 20 years.
They also recorded other factors that can affect heart health such as smoking, physical activity, blood pressure, and cholesterol.
Filtered coffee reduced to 15 percent of death from heart problems, regardless of age, gender, or lifestyle.
Moreover, people who drank between one and four cups of refined coffee a day had the lowest mortality rates.
“Our study provides solid and convincing evidence for a link between coffee-making methods, heart attacks and life expectancy”, said research author and epidemiologist Doug Thelle, from the University of Gotthenburg in Sweden.
Professor Thelle recommends switching to filtered coffee, especially if you worry about high cholesterol, writes the Daily Mail, broadcasts the news.
Complete findings of the study were published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.
