ENEMO sends international experts to monitor Kosovo elections

ENEMO has indicated that the main team is already in Pristina and will observe the first round of elections and the second round of municipalities where there could be second round.
ENEMO's IEOM also plans on election day to monitor voting and counting procedures at a limited number of locations.
Thus ENEMO's IEOM aims to increase the integrity and transparency of the election process.
With monitoring local elections in Kosovo in 2021, ENEMO's IEOM aims to increase the integrity and transparency of the election process and contribute to improving public confidence in election results. The mission will observe the political and campaigning environment, election management activities, campaign funds, candidate and voter registration, media election coverage, election dispute resolution and all other key aspects of the elections. I ENEMO's ENEMOs EOM will assess the compliance of the entire election process with international standards and relevant local legislation”, the ENEMOs communiqué says.
To get real information, the ENEMO mission will hold meetings with all key local or institutional actors.
“During the observation process, in order to get clear and true information, mission ENEMOs will hold meetings with all key local or international actors. These include candidates and political parties, civil society organisations, election management bodies, representatives of state authorities, embassies, international organisations, media, etc. Based on the completed monitoring and meeting attendance held, the mission will publish a Declaration of Presylitary Revelations and Conclusions a day after each election round. A Final Report, completed with the final assessment and with potential recommendations, will be published approximately two months after elections”, potential ENEMO.
This is the fourth ENEMO International Election Monitoring Mission in Kosovo, and the 37th observer mission. ENEMOs total since this network was established in 2001.
International Election Monitoring Mission ENEMOs in the 17 October 2021 local elections in Kosovo is financially supported by National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
ENEMO is an international nongovernmental organisation that represents a network of 21 nongovernmental national civil organisations from 17 Central and Eastern European countries and Central Asia, including two European Union countries. ENEMO has adopted the 2005 Declaration of Parliaments for International Election Observation in 2005 and the Declaration of Global Principles for Nonparty Election Monitoring and Monitoring by Civil Organisations.
