And, the country's largest party, Vetevendosje, which repeatedly called for new elections when other parties were in power, once again went against all but this time that the October 17th elections were not held.
Today the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, had called at the meeting all representatives of political parties to discuss the recommendation of the IKSP and the anti-Condavid Task Force for the impact the elections may have on the pandemic situation Kosovo is going through.

By contrast, VV leader Albin Kurti said his party requires that elections be postponed as the version of Deltak is becoming dangerous.

This is a good day for democracy. We have to take care of the health of our citizens but above all the government”, he added.
So did the chairman of PDK, Memli Krasniqi, who said elections should be held by respecting government measures.
“We are willing not only to cut the campaign completely, but to suspend the whole. To have rigorous respect for measures imposed by the government”, Krasniqi said, among other things.
But the President's decision was not late either. At a media conference, she announced that 17 October would remain the date of local elections.
The election “Data remains what has been in the absence of a reconciliation. We agreed with the majority of parties, if there is a passage to the epidemiological situation, we will sit back and discuss the date of the elections”, she said. /FrontOnline
