A series of three explosions killed at least three people, including Taliban officials, and some 20 others were injured in Jalaabad, Afghanistan. According to officials, the explosion in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province capital targeted Taliban vehicles. Local officials in Nangarhar told Tolo News that the bomb that was located on the side of the street exploded when a Taliban ranger hit him.
Reports said two Taliban officials were among the dead, while the wounded were mainly civilians. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, reports Hindus.
Jalalabad is Afghanistan's fifth largest city, which is about 80 miles from Kabul. The blast comes at a time when Afghanistan is in the world's spotlight after the Taliban invaded the country on 15 August.
