Basha excludes Berisha from DP

Prime Minister Sali Berisha announced he has expelled from group The DP for the new legislature starting tomorrow, after the United States declared it “non grata”.

“We consider the US our most important strategic ally for Albania. Berisha has made it clear that this is a personal issue and that the Democratic Party and the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group should not be included. To avoid any misunderstanding and to concreteise this position of Berisha himself, I have decided that until the completion of the review of the legal requirement for transparency and complete clarification of this case on the judicial road, Berisha will not be a member of the Democratic Party's Parliamentary Group. This would avoid misusing the case by anyone, to undermine the interest of Democrats and the Democratic Party, and would remove all of them to protect Albania's only evil, which is Edi Rama's 8-year-old ill-governance and corruption”, Lulzim Basha declared through a video message.
