The UN Security Council called today for the establishment of a new government through negotiations in Afghanistan, which will be “united, inclusive and representative, and will include full, equal and significant participation of women in the”.
The 15-member body, whose members met today to discuss the situation in Afghanistan, also called for an immediate interruption of human rights hostilities and violations.
The council also demanded that all sides be given immediate, secure and unhindered humanitarian access.
