In Kosovo with differing thoughts of mandatory vaccine

The chairman of the Kosovo Doctor's Oda, Plerat Sejdiu, says measures must be taken against health staff, which refuse to take anti-Vivid-19 virus vaccine. While the head of the Federation of Kosovo Health Unions, Blerim Syla, said mandatory vaccine is a violation of human rights and freedoms. Facing a [...]

Facing a new wave is inevitable, but how much will be affordable for the health system depends on how many citizens have passed Covidin-19, so said in a proposal for Online Economy, the chairman of the Kosovo Medical House, Plerat Sejdiu.

Dr. Sejdiu said that failure to discipline citizens in terms of measures could lead to the country's closure rather than government.

“Facing new waves is inevitable. How affordable it will be for our health system is questionable because we are not sure how many of the citizens have passed the infection. If the closure happens we close ourselves, not the government. Just don't discipline our institutions tou became involved in businesses, especially gastronomy. Because we see every day the masses are not being respected. We'll close it ourselves. This new number of vaccinators also reveals much about our discipline. The problems that have occurred in population care are leading to question the achievement of 60% of the population. The call of institutions including the Health Ministry for the population is missing and there may be trouble in increasing the number of infected”, Sejdiu said.

According to him, the main problem is the lack of the number of specialised doctors to cope with the effects of infection.

“Problem is the number of specialised doctors to deal with the effects of infection. There's a shortage here too. I think that even in Kosovo, the Government should take retributive measures in most cases from health workers many states have taken steps that cannot be taken as a violation of human rights but that the preservation of the system through free vacations of all those healthcare workers who are not vaccinated”.

While the head of the Federation of Kosovo Health Unions, Blerim Syla, says Kosovo will have another wave, but to what extent it will not be predicted.

On the other hand, he said that worsening the situation is expected because of the people's great attendance at cafes and discotheques.

So the ongoing growth is expected, but to what extent it cannot be predicted, but a fourth wave will still have Kosovo in terms of the Delta version. What's important is to reach 60% by the end of the year. It is important that within August the population, especially those at the age of 50, be vaccinated as much as possible, and if this is accomplished we will wait more calmly for this new version. Discotecs work full, full gastronomia, everything is removed from the masses and neither measures nor distances are respected, so worsening is expected. Most doctors have been vaccinated. Vaccination should also take place in education. Because if we get another wave of health workers that will cost us a lot of money so doctors should be better prepared for the fourth wave”, Syla said.

However, Syla said the government should take measures that the one who is not vaccinated does not have the right to ask for service.

“to become binding is considered a violation of the law, but it considers that the government must find measures that the non-vaccinated person should take responsibility for himself, then it has no right to request service. No, no, no, no. It is up to the government to take certain measures that have convinced the population of vaccines and are rescuers”, he said. /EO
